Japanese Sunset Scene Composite

Japanese sunset scene rendered in Maya using Arnold then brought into Nuke for compositing. This scene was made for my compositing class, we were asked to pick a 3D model and render it under different lighting conditions to satisfy a range of different stylistic themes. I picked sunset as I thought it would work well with my Torri gate model. Also, I was already in the process of making a Japanese environment I figured it would be a great opportunity to showcase my recently made models and learn more about sunset lighting which is how my environment is lit. The fun thing about this assignment for me was we were given feedback on what we can improve and given time to implement that feedback. I wanted to focus on lighting, colour and composition for this scene and I think I did well. Nuke was a blast to use and learn!
